The government’s reduction in the net-metering rate for solar users from Rs27 per unit to Rs10 per unit is undoubtedly a cruel act. As such, the government is now discouraging solar and contradicting the prime minister’s pro-solar statements.
In fact, the government appears to be totally disinterested in providing in facilitating the people on any kind of permanent basis. I would advise them to review this change in the solar policy and to try and provide concrete long-term relief for the people.
