LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lt Gen (r) Nazir Ahmad Butt is expected to soon make his first-ever visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI).
Sources said that this visit would be a significant step in fostering a closer relationship between the NAB and the business sector, with the aim at addressing key issues that affect economic stability and growth. Preparations for the visit are already underway. Director General NAB Punjab Ahtraam Dar has reportedly visited the chamber to review logistical arrangements and ensure a productive meeting. During the upcoming session, LCCI officials plan to raise pressing concerns faced by the business community, with a particular focus on regulatory matters, fair accountability practices and policies that ensure transparency without stifling business growth.
The Lahore Chamber has consistently advocated a system that maintains both justice and transparency while safeguarding the interests of economic stakeholders. This meeting with the NAB chairman is anticipated to be pivotal in strengthening collaboration between government accountability institutions and the business community.
