Cop martyred in Waziristan

WANA: A cop was martyred in Bomai village in South Waziristan, sources said on Wednesday.The sources said that constable Imran Khan was traveling from Azam Warsak to his village when he was forcibly disembarked from his vehicle and shot dead in cold blood.So far, no group claimed responsibility for the killing.
His funeral prayer was held at Police Lines Wana, which was attended by senior police officials.This marks the second targeted attack on police personnel in Lower Waziristan during Ramazan. A few days ago, two policemen were gunned down by armed men in Dubkot village.The surge in terrorist attacks has put law enforcement personnel at significant risk in South Waziristan, where they have increasingly become prime targets.
