KHAR: The district administration on Tuesday devised a security plan for Eidul Fitr and imposed Section 144 banning aerial firing, display of weapons, sale and purchase of firecrackers, explosive material and toy guns across the district.
The decision was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan. District Police Officer Waqas Rafiq and other officials of district administration, Rescue 1122, TMAs, and other relevant departments.
The DC issued directives regarding security arrangements for Eidgahs, mosques, and markets, ensuring smooth traffic flow in bazaars, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing an emergency response plan for Rescue 1122.
Strict actions were also ordered against drivers charging fares higher than the official rates.
Instructions were also given to ensure the availability of staff and medicines round-the-clock at District Headquarters Hospital, Khar, Category-D Hospital Nawagai, Pashat, Larkholozo, and rural health centres.
