ISLAMABAD: As many as 31 sports disciplines will be contested in the 35th National Games scheduled to be held from May 1-9 in Karachi.
A high-level meeting of all stakeholders is scheduled in Karachi today (Tuesday) to discuss all relevant formalities regarding hosting of these events in a befitting manner. Secretaries and presidents of all competing sports federations have been invited to discuss matters relating to respective events.
Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar, Chairman of the Games Organising Committee will chair the meeting which will also be participated by secretary Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Mohammad Khalid Mehmood, representatives of provincial Olympic Associations and departmental and services representatives.
Matters expected to be discussed during the meeting are reports on the venues, security plan, equipment, accommodation, daily allowances, transportation, medal services, doping control, ceremonies, Games website, media coverage, strength of teams and officials and other visitors’ accommodations.

Tennis (men & women) 23. volleyball (men & women) 24. weightlifting (men & women) 25. Wrestling (men).
