Religious, political leaders condole death of late Mushtaq Paracha

NOWSHERA: People and religious and political leaders, journalists and government figures continued to visit the residence of late senior journalist Mushtaq Paracha and offered condolences to the members of the bereaved family.

Besides others, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister and head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) Mahmood Khan, lawmakers Idrees Khattak, Shah Ahad, Hospital Director Kamran Hakim Khan of Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex and other political and religious leaders visited the residence and offered condolences.

The leaders expressed their deep sorrow over the passing of Mushtaq Paracha, who was also president of Nowshera Press Club, and paid tribute to his journalistic and public services.Qul will be held after Zuhr prayer at Sawal Mosque near his residence in Sawal Colony today (Monday).

Talking to reporters, former chief minister Mahmood Khan said that journalists like Mushtaq Paracha were born once in centuries and that his absence will always be felt. He said that Mushtaq Paracha was not just a journalist but was also driven by a passion for public service. “I had a brotherly relationship with him, and his sudden demise has left me deeply saddened. His contributions to journalism and to his community are unparalleled,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his condolences via telephone with his son Engr Yousaf Ishaq Paracha and prayed for the departed soul.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his sorrow and said that he always shared a relationship of respect and honour with the late journalist. He recalled that they both studied at Darul Uloom Haqqania, Akora Khattak, and that he always maintained a respectful relationship with the late journalist.He praised the late Mushtaq Paracha for his dedication to journalism and his ability to uphold his profession despite challenges.
