Negative propaganda probe: PTI’s Aon Abbas appears before JIT

ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Friday interrogated PTI leader Aon Abbass in connection with the ongoing investigation into alleged negative propaganda on social media.
According to JIT sources, 17 individuals, including Aleema Khan, were summoned for questioning. However, only Aon Abbass complied, while the rest failed to appear.
The JIT has reissued summons for Aleema Khan, reportedly the prime suspect, requiring her to appear on March 26 to address further inquiries regarding her alleged role in disseminating fake news to PTI’s social media activists and vloggers residing abroad.
Among those who did not appear before the JIT on Friday were Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, and Muhammad Hammad Azhar. Additionally, Muhammad Shehbaz Shabbir, Waqas Akram, and Taimur Saleem Khan were also issued notices, along with Sabghatullah Warak, Azhar Mashwani, Muhammad Nauman Afzal, Jibran Ilyas, Salman Raza, Zulfi Bukhari, Moosa Warak, and Ali Malik.
