RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan district on reported presence of Khwarij on Thursday, says an ISPR press release.
During the operation, the troops after stealthily surrounding the khwarij location, effectively engaged them and resultantly all the 10 khwarij were killed.
However, during the intense fire exchange, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (age: 24 years, resident of District Jhelum), who was leading his troops from the front, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.
Captain Husnain was a brave officer and was renowned for his courage, bold and daring actions during previous operations.
During the operation, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Law Enforcement Agencies as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the officers and personnel of the security forces on the successful operation against the khwarij in Dera Ismail Khan. The prime minister appreciated the professionalism of officers and personnel of the security forces for killing the 10 khwarij in the operation. He paid tributes to Captain Hasnain Akhtar, who laid down his life fighting bravely during the operation. “We will continue our fight against terrorism till it is completely eradicated from the country,” the PM said.
