The Sindh Police Department on Thursday has issued “The Police Newsletter 7th Edition”, which includes articles on the performance and operations carried out by its units in maintaining law and order in Karachi.
DIG Maqsood Ahmed, chief of the Security Division Sindh Police, said the Security Division Karachi Police is publishing its latest newsletter to provide update and information highlighting timely issues, events and resources of the Security Division. It also provides trending needs and top resources that matter most to the citizens of Karachi.
The purpose of the newsletter to provide updates about security and law and order situation. It informs about the processes and precautions that need to be followed for certain tasks related to law and security. It will also promote the resources and communication tools of the Security Division for better and effective communication and services.
The statement issued by the Security division said that the 7th Edition of The Police Newsletter, a flagship publication of the Security and Emergency Services Division (S&ESD), Karachi. This edition highlights the relentless efforts of dedicated personnel in safeguarding the city, fostering community trust, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism in law enforcement.
Under the leadership of DIG Dr Maqsood Ahmed, the S&ESD continues to bridge communication gaps and strengthen coordination among specialized units such as the Special Security Unit (SSU), Security-I, Security-II, and Court Police. Our mission—To Serve, To Protect—is reflected in the diverse initiatives showcased here, from securing high-profile events like the Iranian President’s visit and PSL-9 matches to empowering citizens through self-defense workshops and free healthcare camps.
In this edition, we celebrate milestones such as the 2nd Police Extreme Handgun Championship, international accolades at the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024, and the successful recruitment drive fostering transparency and inclusivity.
We also pay solemn tribute to our martyrs, whose sacrifices remind us of the unwavering resolve required to combat terrorism and ensure peace.
