ISLAMABAD: The opposition alliance has decided to organise an all parties conference (APC) on the issue of law and order and terrorism after Eidul Fitr.
According to a statement, the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan will host the conference, and all political parties except those in the government will be invited.
For the upcoming event, the opposition alliance has formed more sub-committees to organize the movement.
The meeting of the opposition parties’ leadership, held a day earlier, formally approved the basic structure of this movement. The opposition alliance has formed three sub-committees.
The coordination committee chairmanship has been given to former NA speaker and PTI senior leader Asad Qaiser. The political activities and liaison committee will work under the supervision of Hamid Raza, who is the head of Sunni Ittehad Council.
Likewise, the third committee was formed to convene an APC on peace and security of the country and the political situation after Eid. PTI’s legislator Latif Khosa has been made head of the APC Committee. He has been tasked with convening the APC in collaboration with the opposition parties.
The opposition alliance, which is in the process of including more political parties, had boycotted the crucial National Security Committee meeting organized Tuesday.
