BARA: A non-governmental organisation (NGO) Nida Pakistan conducted a two-day training workshop on livestock farming in Bara tehsil of Khyber tribal district on Wednesday. A total of 150 farmers from 10 village councils participated in the training workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to educate livestock farmers on modern methods and enhance their capabilities so that they can take better care of their animals and increase their income. The farmers were trained about animal health, disease prevention, feed and nutrition. Around 100 farmers were also provided with necessary equipment so that they can take better care of their livestock.
Nida Pakistan officers Mir Muhammad, Faiz Muhammad Khan and
Zahir Khan conducted the training.
Livestock experts Dr Muhammad Waqas and Tariq Khan provided technical guidance.
They answered the questions of the farmers and informed them about modern livestock practices.
Meanwhile, President of Khidmat Khalq Welfare Society Gul Ibad, President of Rohana Welfare Organization Ihsanullah and General Secretary of Hamdard Welfare Community Essa Khan were also present.
