ISLAMABAD: The Central Selection Board has recommended the promotion of Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan, a BS-20 officer, to the sole vacant BS-21 post of Military Land and Cantonment ML&C.
According to sources, the names of five ML&C Grade 20 officers were considered for this post, including Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan, Rana Muhammad Rafique, Rana Khalil Ahmed, Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Khan, and Dr. Saima Shah.
The Central Selection Board has approved the promotion of Grade 20 senior officer Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan to Grade 21, however, the final approval will be given by the prime minister.
Sources said that the interesting thing about the promotion to Grade 21 is that four officers from the Rana community were involved in the race, in which Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan, who was also a senior, was successful. Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan has served as Executive Officer in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Peshawar Cantonment Boards. He has also served as Regional Director ML&C Multan, Karachi, Peshawar, and Director, Rector, Simla Training Academy.
