LAHORE:The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Squad (AVLS) Monday claimed arresting 203 vehicle thieves of 24 gangs during the last three months.
The police recovered 43 cars, 1,920 motorcycles, and 103 other vehicles of worth Rs 4.4 billion from the accused and returned them to their actual owners. The police also seized 22 non-custom paid vehicles and handed over the vehicles to the relevant department and 23 stolen vehicles were traced and sent back to owners in other districts and provinces. The police also arrested 60 wanted individuals and 335 habitual and court fugitives with several illegal firearms. A substantial amount of narcotics was also seized.
