LAHORE:The Lahore High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of appeal of Mukhtaran Bibi, convicted under Section 295B of the Pakistan Penal Code.The court has yet to announce a new date for the next hearing. Her appeal has been pending adjudication since June 1, 2023. Her counsel Sarmad Ali lamented individuals convicted under blasphemy laws often face extended legal battles.
