Standing with our defenders
The attack on Jaffar Express is yet another painful reminder of the challenges Pakistan continues to face. Acts of terrorism seek to shake our resolve, but they only strengthen our unity. In this regard the University of Karachi took a commendable step by organising a rally to condemn this cowardly attack, honour the Pakistan armed forces, and express unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Army. It was heartening to see students, faculty, and administrative staff come together to send a strong message: the people of Pakistan stand by their defenders.
Our armed forces have been the shield protecting this nation, and their sacrifices cannot go unnoticed. Whether fighting on the frontlines or responding to internal threats, they have displayed unmatched courage and commitment. Yet, beyond appreciation, this rally also served as a reflection. It is not just the responsibility of the military to safeguard our country — it is a collective duty. National unity, resilience, and unwavering support for our institutions are the need of the hour. Division and doubt only serve the enemy, but solidarity strengthens us.
