This letter refers to the news report ‘Hundreds, potentially Trump, nominated for Nobel Peace Prize this year’ (March 6, 2025). How has Trump been nominated? In light of his plans or threats to remove and relocate the entire population of Gaza, basically an open call for ethnic cleansing, this can only be considered a blow to the prize’s integrity. The Trump administration is also persecuting foreign students in the US who had the courage to protest Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which killed over 60,000 Palestinians. How can Palestinians be forcibly ousted from their own land? Almost all other world leaders are against this plan. I hope the Nobel Peace Prize committee will reject Trump's nomination for this coveted prize.
