SARGODHA: Two alleged suicide bombers were killed when their jackets exploded here on Saturday.
According to a private TV channel, the explosion occurred when the two suspects, aged between 30 and 35 who came out of a car near Ghausia Market, embraced each other. The suspected terrorists looked like Uzbek from appearance.
However, no body else was killed or injured in the incident. Personnel of the Bomb disposal squad and the law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
Later, the bodies of the alleged bombers were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital Sargodha to carry out a DNA test to determine their identity. Fear and panic gripped the area and all nearby shops were closed soon after the incident.
