Islamabad:In a tragic incident, an alleged rapist kidnapped a 12-year-old schoolboy, killed him after molesting him, and dumped his body in the water tank of a neighbouring house.
The horrifying crime unfolded in Soan Garden when the victim’s father lodged a complaint with the Lohi Bher police on March 4, 2025. The complainant stated that his child, Dilshad, had gone missing along with a motorcycle. An FIR (No. 170/25) was registered under Section 364 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at PS Lohi Bher, and ASI Zulfiqar was assigned to investigate the case. CCTV footage was reviewed, and the motorcycle was found on Street 49 the same day. A thorough search for the missing child was conducted after police traced his last known location near nearby houses.
During the investigation, three suspects were identified and taken into custody based on the complainant’s statement. Police continued gathering evidence to strengthen the case, sources confirmed.
A major breakthrough occurred when investigators recovered the body of 12-year-old boy from a water tank in Soan Garden. This discovery came after the prime suspect confessed to the crime and implicated two others.
Investigators had initially suspected the accused when they identified his room as the crime scene. Police sources confirmed that corroborating evidence was collected to build a strong case.
Sources further revealed that neighbouring children voluntarily came forward, stating that the accused, had previously attempted to assault other minors. The victim’s elder brother had also visited the neighbour’s house searching for Ahmed, as he had made inappropriate advances towards him in the past.
In his confessional statement, the suspect admitted that he intercepted the victim, who was riding his father’s motorcycle, and lured him into his room. When the child resisted and threatened to inform his father about his actions, the accused forcefully molested him and then decided to kill him. He strangled the boy to death and threw his body into the water tank.
SSP (Operations) Shuaib Khan confirmed the report, stating that the officials investigating the case worked professionally and solved it within 24 hours using their skills and scientific methods. “The investigation proceeded without coercion, and we are concluding the case based on technical and forensic evidence,” the SSP added.
