PTI leader, tehsil chairman’s protective bail extended
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday extended the protective bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s leader Khadija Shah and Swabi Tehsil Chairman Attaullah Khan until April 15.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Aurangzeb heard Khadija Shah’s petition. During the proceedings, the petitioner was represented by lawyer Alam Khan Adenzai.
Assistant Attorney General Daulat Khan informed the court that the Ministry of Interior’s report had not yet been received and sought more time to submit it.He argued that an inquiry against Khadija Shah was ongoing at the Federal Investigation Agency, Lahore.
The National Accountability Bureau prosecutor Sartaj Khan also informed the bench that the NAB report had not yet been received and would be submitted once available. The bench extended Khadija Shah’s bail, preventing authorities from arresting her, and issued a notice to the Ministry of Interior, seeking a response.
AAG Daulat Khan informed the court that there was no federal government case against the petitioner, nor was there any FIA investigation.
