ISLAMABAD: An investigation has been launched into the deportation of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahsan Wagan, from the Los Angeles Airport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who is also the Foreign Minister and Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch of all relevant details about the incident.

According to sources, Pakistani authorities have also begun to move forward with raising this issue with American authorities so that the issue can be resolved at the diplomatic level once the full and credible reasons are known.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his response to the incident, confirmed that the Pakistani diplomat was prevented from entering the United States and said that the diplomat was going to the United States on a private visit. The entire matter is being investigated and an investigation has been initiated.

Meanwhile, according to details received from sources, all the traveling documents of Pakistani Ambassador Ahsan Wagan were complete but some references were revealed by checking the visa online, due to which it was decided to send him back on the next flight. Observers and analysts say that this incident cannot be seen in the context of statements that express speculation and concerns that the Trump administration may ban Pakistanis from entering the United States and that they will not even be granted visas. This incident is absolutely an individual and different matter. Such incidents cannot affect relations between the two countries at any level, which could lead to fears of a diplomatic crisis.
