‘CBD Route 47 a game-changing project’
LAHORE:Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin on Monday conducted an on-site inspection of CBD Route 47 to evaluate ongoing development work, including the paint work on cycle lanes, installation of streetlights and green belts.
During the inspection, CBD Punjab CEO emphasised strict adherence to quality standards and timely project completion. He stated that CBD Route 47 is a game-changing project designed to ensure safe, efficient and eco-friendly travel for residents of provincial capital. By integrating modern infrastructure such as dedicated cycling lanes and energy-efficient lighting, we are creating a sustainable and accessible urban environment”.
Accompanied by the senior officials of CBD Punjab, the CEO reinforced the authority’s commitment to delivering world-class urban infrastructure and improving public convenience. The CBD Punjab CEO reviewed the newly designated cycle lane, which meets international safety and design standards and assessed the progress of energy-saving streetlights, aimed at enhancing nighttime visibility. The development of green belts was also a key focus, emphasising environmental sustainability and aesthetic improvements.
Imran Amin also visited the Walton Railway Crossing Flyover site and instructed officials to accelerate construction to mitigate traffic congestion in the area. He stressed the importance of efficiency in execution and ensuring the project meets the highest construction benchmarks.
CBD Punjab CEO was accompanied by Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Asif Babar, and Project Manager (NESPAK) Jamshed Janjua during his visit.
LDA DG briefed on ongoing uplift projects
A meeting of the LDA Engineering Wing was held under the chairmanship of DG LDA Tahir Farooq on Monday. LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed and the Project Director briefed the DG on the progress of various ongoing projects in Lahore. The meeting was told about the ongoing development works under the Sustainable Development Model in various blocks of Gulberg Scheme. It was apprised that the finishing work in Gulberg, B-3 Block, has entered the final stages and work in C-1, D-1 and L Block is underway.
The DG was told about the ongoing work on Main Boulevard Sabzazar, Tollinton Market, Jan Muhammad Road, in G-1 Market Johar Town and Link Road Madar Millat Road to Chaudhry Rehmat Ali Nazar Civic Centre Township.
