ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is providing a conducive environment for investment and business activities.
He was talking to leading business people of the country here on Friday. He commended the business community’s efforts for development of the country. He also acknowledged their role in creating employment opportunities in the country. The PM said the journey towards economic improvement and reforms in all sectors would continue in consultation with the business leaders. He emphasized that the consultative process with the business community is aimed at further accelerating the country’s economic development.
Members of the business community expressed their complete confidence in the business-friendly policies of the government, the PM media wing said. They commended the government for establishing the National Seed Development Authority to ensure provision of quality seeds for development of the agriculture sector.
The participants presented their suggestions and proposals regarding various sectors.
The PM directed the relevant ministries to consult with representatives of the business community and stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of China to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.
During the course of the meeting the prime minister conveyed his warm greetings and good wishes to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. He also congratulated the Chinese leadership and nation, on the successful convening of the “Two Sessions” of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
