PPP to continue politics of reconciliation: governor
LAHORE:Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider on Wednesday hosted an Iftar dinner in honour of senior leaders and workers of Pakistan Peoples Party Lahore at Governor House.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider said that the workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party are its real asset who always stand shoulder to shoulder with the party. He expressed optimism about the future prospects of the party, predicting that it will succeed in gaining its popularity not only in Punjab but also in other provinces of the country. The governor said that he was committed to bringing together senior leaders and disgruntled workers of the PPP in one place. He said that the Iftar dinners will continue for the party workers. The governor said that the PPP will continue the politics of reconciliation for the development, prosperity and wider interest of the people of the country. He gave a message to all political leaders to sit together and remain united. He said that Ramazan gives us the opportunity to be tolerant, forbearing and forgiving. On this occasion, the governor sat with the party workers and workers and had Iftar. He appealed to the philanthropists to include the deserving in their Iftars and Sehris.
