Organised spectrum backing terror in Pakistan: Gen Asim
COAS said whenever state took action against them, their false narratives were spread to undermine efforts
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Sunday said an organised illegal spectrum backed terrorism with certain elements providing support to it.
During an interaction with students from various universities in Bahawalpur, the COAS said whenever the state took action against them, their false narratives were spread to undermine the efforts.
He underscored the army’s commitment to nurturing the youth and encouraging them to pursue academic excellence with dedication and equip themselves with the skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to the national development.
Gen Asim lauded the pivotal role of the youth in shaping Pakistan’s future and reaffirmed the army’s support for initiatives that empowered the young talent.
He stressed the importance of self-responsibility saying everyone must focus on own duties and performance instead of engaging in baseless criticism.
He said as long as great mothers continued to sacrifice their children for Pakistan and the youth stood united with the armed forces, nobody could harm the country.
The army chief described the country as a precious gift from Allah Almighty, blessed with many bounties and urged the audience to remain steadfast in their beliefs, remember the ancestors, and uphold the core values of the society.
