MINGORA: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Maqam on Sunday said the government had reduced inflation, increased exports and revived major developmental projects. He was speaking at a gathering after inaugurating the Nadra Registration Centre in Islampur area in Swat.

Amir Maqam, who is also provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had focused on delivering services to the public. He cited rapid progress in sectors such as health, education, infrastructure and social welfare.

Maqam criticized the opposition alliances, describing them as self-serving and lacking any long-term goals for the country. He made it clear that these alliances were formed with personal interests rather than for the public good. He also addressed the issue of terrorism, economic stability, and unemployment, stating that any true alliance should focus on resolving these critical issues.

He lambasted the PTI leadership for lacking plans to address the needs of the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Maqam pointed out that the PTI government was preoccupied with seeking power and had no clear focus on the welfare of the people. He added that the PTI’s popularity was rapidly declining, and even overseas Pakistanis had rejected their calls for support.

Maqam reiterated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was committed to public service and was taking all possible steps for the country’s stability and progress. He assured the public that the party would continue working for the well-being of the nation, regardless of political opposition.
