Boys outperform girls in BISE Kohat SSC exams
KOHAT: The boys outshined girls in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination 2016 held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE),Kohat.
The results were announced here Friday by the Controller Examination Kaleemullah Khan. The awards distribution ceremony for the top position holders in the SSC examination was held at the conference room of the board here.
A total of 70,100 students appeared in the SSC examination, in which 47, 689 candidates passed the examination. The passpercentage was 68.03.Junaid Khan of the Cadet College Kohat clinched the first position in the board by securing 1038 marks out of the total 1100.
Danish Sattar of the same college stood second by obtaining 1037 marks while two other students including Malik Waleed Zeb of Cadet College Kohat and Alina Rehman of the Iqra Public School Kohat clinched third position by securing 1035 marks.
In the Arts Group, Fatima Sohail of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Babri Banda, Kohat, stood first by obtaining 851 marks while Iffat Gul of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Tairi, Karak, come second by securing 848 marks. Sughra Batool of the Government Baqir Ali Shaheed School Ibrahimzai in Hangu stood third by obtaining 843 marks.Secretary BISE KohatRaqib Khan and others distributed awards among the top position holders.
