PARACHINARs: The residents of Kurram, particularly Parachinar, continue to suffer as road blockades persist for over five months.

The recent spell of heavy rain and snowfall has further compound the difficulties faced by the people, leaving around 500,000 residents in dire straits.

Due to the closure of main roads, essential supplies, including food and medicine, remain scarce, creating a humanitarian crisis. Citizens have urged authorities to ensure the supply of essential commodities and demanded the resumption of helicopter services to provide relief. They also called for the reopening of main roads to restore normalcy.

Meanwhile, in Bagan, protesters have continued their sit-in on the main road, demanding relief packages for affected families and punishment for those responsible for the destruction in the region.

District administration officials stated that as part of the peace agreement, bunkers in the area are being demolished, with 266 out of 600 already dismantled. Authorities are also taking various measures to provide relief to the people.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Kohat, Abbas Majid Marwat, said that security operations are ongoing in Bagan, Ochet Mandori, and surrounding areas. Around 100 individuals have been arrested, and looted food supplies and medicines have been recovered.
