DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Sardar Qaizar Khan Miankhel, the divisional president of Pakistan People’s Party who had been abducted along with a police constable and driver some three days ago, reached home safely.
Sardar Qaizar Miankhel is PPP leader and brother of Member National Assembly Sardar Fatehullah Miankhel, former MNA Sardar Umar Farooq Khan Miankhel, and former provincial minister Sardar Sanaullah Khan Miankhel and uncle of MPA Sardar Ihsanullah Khan Miankhel.
Upon his arrival, he was accorded a warm welcome by the elders of Miankhel family, representatives of political, social, and legal organisations and friends.
They also chanted slogans in his support. Among those present at the occasion were Abdullah Zafari, Yaseen Raj, Khayam Sherani, Wali Khan, Muhammad Saeed, Saeed Aasi, and Umair Habib Sial advocate. Abdullah Zafari distributed sweets to celebrate Sardar Qaizar Khan’s release and safe arrival.
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council observed province-wide court boycott in protest against the abduction of senior lawyer Sardar Qaizar Khan Miankhel Advocate. As a result, no lawyer appeared before the courts, severely affecting judicial proceedings across the province.
Vice Chairman of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, Ahmad Farooq Khattak, along with Executive Committee Chairman Akbar Khan Kohistani, Ameen-ur-Rehman Yousafzai, Yasir Khattak, Ishaq Ali Qazi, Babar Khan Yousafzai, Syed Mubashir Shah, and other lawyers strongly condemned the kidnapping of the senior legal expert from Dera Ismail Khan. They urged law enforcement agencies to ensure the protection of lawyers.
