Jatoi under observation in Civil Hospital Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Former federal minister and National Peoples Party (NPP) chief Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi is under observation at the cardiology ward of the Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
Cardiologist Dr Kashif Sheikh said Jatoi’s blood pressure was under control. Talking to The News at the hospital, the NPP chief said he had been suffering from blood pressure complications for a long time. “On Saturday, February 22, I felt pain due to increased BP, on which I was shifted to the hospital."
Jatoi said he suffered his first heart attack in 2010 and had to undergo angioplasty. In 2024, he had a second heart attack. He claimed that frivolous cases had been forged against him. “I have been given B class in jail and hospital,” he said. The NPP chief was shifted to the hospital from the Nara Jail from Nawabshah where he was incarcerated due to different cases in three districts of Sindh.
