ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Saturday said that they were not very happy with the judiciary and presented their submissions about the judicial behaviour during a meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan a day earlier.
Talking to the media here, he explained that they met the chief justice and that their charge sheet against the government was very long. The chief justice advised the PTI to stay in the system and not to boycott, he added.
“We had a meeting with the chief justice yesterday [Friday], and it was clear that staying within the system is the best course of action,” Gohar said, confirming the CJP’s advice.
“We are not very happy with the judiciary and informed him [CJP] about the judicial behaviour in the meeting, saying treating the PTI like this is not right for democracy and law,” the PTI chairman added. “We are going to form an alliance with all the opposition parties; we are running a movement for the supremacy of the Constitution so that votes are not stolen,” he said.
In response to a question about an expelled party lawmaker, he maintained that the case of Sher Afzal Marwat was an internal matter of the party and that if someone violates discipline, then the party follows a process. Regarding those, who had parted ways with the party following May 9 events, he said that the PTI founder chairman would make a decision regarding those who left the party after May 9. Gohar said that he had attended the district court on the matter related to a complaint filed on November 26.
