Kasur burnt woman dies in hospital

KASUR: A married woman, who was allegedly burnt by her husband, succumbs to her burns at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, on Thursday.
Nazia, wife of Muhammad Saleem, of Hakeem Wali Street near old Sabzi Mandi B-Division Kasur, was allegedly burnt alive by Saleem, Najma, and Skeena Bibi the other day.
When media gave attention to the incident, the police registered a case against Saleem, Najma and Skeena.
Saleem in his statement told police that Nazia tried to commit suicide over a domestic issue and he also burnt his hands in a bid to save her.
According to sources, the couple was upset due to financial constraints and paralyzed mother of Saleem. The police are investigating.
