Child recovered, four kidnappers held

FAISALABAD: Batala Colony police recovered a child and arrested four kidnappers, including two uncles of the abductee, here on Thursday.
Four people entered the house of Zaigham Abbas at Nasirnagar and abducted his child for ransom two days ago. On information, CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar constituted a team to recover the child and arrest the kidnappers. During investigation, police arrested Muhammad Arslan, brother of Zaigham, who confessed to committing the crime with the help three other accused - Ali, another brother of Zaigham, and his friends Waris and Umer. Further investigation is under way.

In the first incident, Shumaila of Samanabad ended her life by swallowing poisonous pills over a domestic dispute. In the second incident, Nimra Babar of Shahzad Colony tried to end her life by swallowing poisonous pills. She was shifted to the Civil Hospital.
