Acting DCO unhappy with hospital performance

JHANG: Acting DCO Shaukat Ali Khichi has expressed dissatisfaction over performance of the DHQ Hospital and the Health Department.

During a meeting with Health EDO Dr Zafar Khan here, the acting DCO said that those, who did not serve the ailing humanity, had no right to stay on their posts. He said that the Punjab government was spending billions of rupees on improving condition of hospitals and provision of quality treatment facilities to the patients. He said that improper use of funds was a criminal negligence. The DCO said that the Punjab government higher authorities were disappointed with the arrangements for provision of medical facilities in the hospital as well as condition of wards. The DCO directed the EDO and the hospital MS to submit progress report of doctors, besides biometric attendance report.

Meanwhile, taking action on a complaint about unavailability of medicines in the hospital, the DCO directed scrutiny of record of medicines supplied and used in the hospital. He said that those found involved in negligence would not escape punishment.
