ANP slams KP govt for failing to honour promises
GHALLANAI: Awami National Party (ANP) leader and former chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Wednesday criticized the provincial government for failing to fulfill promises made to the tribal districts at the time of merger.
Speaking at a gathering in Ekkaghund area to mark the death anniversary of Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan, Hoti accused the government of neglecting Pakhtuns and failing to improve worsening law and order.
“The responsibility of fulfilling commitments made during the merger and ensuring peace lies with the provincial government,” he stated. “However, instead of addressing these issues, they are focused on frequent demonstrations in Islamabad, diverting attention from Pakhtuns’ rights.”
ANP provincial general secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, former MPA Nisar Mohmand, ANP Bajaur president Maulana Khanzeb and others also addressed the gathering.Haider Hoti said that after 2013, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s political and economic stability was deliberately undermined. “The province was handed over to PTI, which led to chaos, instability, and economic collapse,” he remarked.
