Minor molested by two seminary teachers
LAHORE:A nine-year old child was allegedly sexually molested by two teachers at a seminary in Factory Area. According to police sources, the father of the victim, Shahbaz, lodged a complaint, following which a case was registered against the accused.
Meanwhile, an 11-year old child was raped by two men in Kot Lakhpat police area. According to the details, the victim (H), a resident of Kot Lakhpat, went to play games at a game shop near his house where the accused Abdul Razzaq and Hamza, lured the child, raped him and left him unconscious. Upon receiving information, the police concerned arrested the accused and registered a case against them and handed them over to the Gender Cell for further investigation.
Body of woman found hanging from tree in Nasser Bagh
Body of an unidentified woman was found hanging from a tree in Nasser Bagh. The people visiting the park for a morning walk noticed the situation and alerted the police. On receiving the information, the police reached the scene and took the body into custody. Preliminary examination suggests that there were no apparent signs of violence on the body. Body was shifted to the morgue.
Cop saves life of protester who attempts self-immolation
The Qila Gujar Singh police saved the life of a blind protester who attempted self-immolation outside the Press Club. According to details, Imran Aziz, a visually-impaired protester from Rawalpindi, poured petrol on himself during a demonstration and tried to set himself on fire. However, ASI Yousuf of Qila Gujar Singh police acted swiftly, extinguishing the flames and rescuing Imran before the situation could turn fatal.
DIG Operations has announced a certificate of appreciation for ASI Yousuf. The incident has drawn attention to the grievances of visually-impaired individuals, with calls for authorities to address their concerns.
11 die in road accidents in 24 hours
The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,389 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 11 people died, whereas 1,591 were injured. Out of these, 641 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 950 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
