LANDIKOTAL: The Christian community on Wednesday organised a rally in Landikotal Bazaar to show their commitment and solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

Led by former MPA Wilson Wazir Masih, a number of elders and youth from the Christian community participated in the rally to express their support for the Kashmiris. Starting the rally from Bacha Khan Chowk, the participants gathered outside the Landikotal Press Club after passing through various roads. They were holding banners and chanted slogans as “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan” and “Pakistan Zindabad.”

Addressing the participants, Wilson Wazir said that the Christians and other minority communities in Pakistan firmly stand shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiris in this difficult time. He urged the United Nations to take practical steps for the freedom of Muslims in Indian-occupied Kashmir and grant them their due rights. He demanded India withdraw its forces from the region and allow Kashmiris to live freely. He also called on the UN to take notice of India’s atrocities in occupied Kashmir. Wilson Wazir reiterated that the Christian community would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the Kashmiri people and that their struggle would continue until Kashmir’s freedom is achieved.
