Qadri arrives in Lahore tomorrow
LAHORE
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri will reach Lahore airport on Thursday morning to lead a proposed sit-in on Mall road on Friday (June 17) to mark second anniversary of Model Town killings.
A large number of Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and leaders were scheduled to receive Dr Tahirul Qadri at the airport and bring him to his residence in Model Town in a motorcade where he is also scheduled to address a press conference in the evening.
Before boarding a flight to Lahore from London, Dr Tahirul Qadri told the media that his party was forced to stage another sit-in after justice was denied to the families of victims of Model Town shootings despite lapse of two years.
Dr Tahirul Qadri said he would lead the second round of the movement for justice to the Model Town victims, adding he had invited all the political parties to join his struggle against the government’s alleged highhandedness and corruption.
