‘Nurses’ higher education need of hour’
LAHORE : Nurses are the basic component of the health system, without it imagining the provision of medical care is just a dream, there is a need for nurses to focus on enhancing professional abilities and their higher education and specialisation. Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) Nursing Superintendent Asia Khanum expressed these views while addressing the participants of a Workshop on the topic of “Higher Education of Nurses” for better patient care and meeting future challenges. Head Nurse Mahmooda Tabassum, Shabnam Zar, Shagufta Ali, Nahid Akhtar, Robina Iram, Sheeba Haroon, Nursing Instructor Sajida Nusrat, Assistant Nursing Instructor Shazia besides Nursing Officers and students of the Nursing College Lahore General Hospital were participated in large number.
Asia Khanum said that many changes are taking place in this most important field of medicine which will make the future of those associated with the nursing field brighter.
