During the inauguration of US President Donald Trump last month, there was a mention of the equal treatment the US gives to all races, religions, faiths and beliefs and there was a reference to the three Israeli hostages released by Hamas a day ago. But there was no comment on the over 45,000 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. There was a prayer for peace in Israel but there was no mention of peace in Palestine. This is not only ironic but depressing. This shows a lot about how America will be governed in terms of treating all equally and being fair to all. It appears nothing has changed on that front, at least for now.
