Since 2022, Pakistan has been facing serious economic problems affecting nearly every part of daily life. The rising prices of basic goods like petrol and imported items have made it harder for people to afford necessities, adding to their struggles. While the government’s policies play a role, global issues have also worsened the situation. For example, the Russia-Ukraine war, which started in 2022, caused a sharp increase in oil prices around the world. As a country that imports oil, Pakistan has been heavily impacted. These global pressures have made Pakistan’s already weak economy even worse.
But not all of Pakistan’s problems are caused by external factors. Poor planning, mismanagement, and unstable leadership within the country have made things harder. Frequent changes in government and inconsistent policies have prevented progress. To move forward, Pakistan must strengthen its democracy and ensure decisions are made for the benefit of its people. Strong, transparent elections and fair governance are essential to win back public trust. Leaders must work together and focus on stability. Economic recovery will require smart changes.
