BUREWALA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a change in the route of the new motorway to facilitate the people of Burewala and Vehari.
The revised route will now pass through Arifwala, Burewala, and Vehari before reaching Lodhran. The decision was made during a cabinet division meeting held on Saturday, attended by several members of the National Assembly from south Punjab, including MNA Syed Sajid Mehdi Saleem from Burewala. During the meeting, Sajid Mehdi requested the PM to alter the previously planned route of the motorway originating from Kasur.
Responding positively to the request, the PM approved the new route, which would now include Pakpattan, Arifwala, Burewala, Vehari and Lodhran. This change is expected to reduce the distance between Burewala and Karachi by 100 kilometers, making travel more convenient and efficient.
Local residents and business communities have welcomed the decision, expressing optimism that the new motorway will significantly boost economic activity and development in the region.
