LAHORE : Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin inaugurated the new office of Wasa Lahore Call Centre here on Thursday.
MD Wasa Ghufran Ahmed gave a briefing on new software and staff training. He said 24/7 complaints cell of Wasa Lahore was updated and 100% staff with field expertise has been deployed. MD Wasa added that the outsourced call centre will now be operated by Wasa Lahore itself, which will save more than Rs10 million annually. Minister for Housing said underground water tanks were being constructed at 10 places in the city on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
He said timely resolution of daily problems of citizens was top priority of the government. Bilal Yasin said the Wasa Lahore’s model will be adopted in other districts as well and more steps will be taken this year to develop administrative institutions on modern lines.
