Every other government that comes into power in Pakistan announces some scheme to increase and expand industries. But their efforts only result in establishing small industries that do not create much benefits for the nation. This is because every government fails to realise the resources needed to transform small industries into large industries. The fact is that small industries might grow into medium industries but will never be able to become large industries unless they increase production by 500 per cent at least. In developed nations, the government or banks provide the financing and help for this transformation. But, in Pakistan, no one provides such help. This has to change if we want to develop large businesses.
