LAKKI MARWAT: Regional Police Officer, Kohat range, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat has asked the police authorities in Karak district to launch an across- the-board operation against drug peddlers and proclaimed offenders.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting at the district police offices in Karak city on Wednesday. Matters pertaining to law and order situation and performance of subordinate police officials were discussed. DPO Shahbaz Elahi presented a detailed briefing about the overall law and order situation and police’s actions against anti-social elements and lawbreakers.
The RPO said that anti-peace elements would be dealt with sternly and no one would be allowed to disturb peace and challenge the writ of state. He asked the investigators to conduct investigations on modern techniques and methods, trace culprits with the help of technology and solve cases purely on merit.
He reiterated his firm and strong resolve to implement zero tolerance policy against corruption and warned that involvement of police officials in malpractices would not be tolerated at all.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Shakeel Ahmad Jan along with DPO Shahbaz and SP Investigation Muhammad Ashfaq Khan received the regional police chief when he reached Karak. He also inspected the command and control centre where he was acquainted about an effective surveillance mechanism.
