PESHAWAR: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Women’s Wing on Wednesday staged a protest here demanding the immediate release of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan.

Carrying banners and placards, the PTI woman activists from the provincial capital, led by Muslim Taj Bibi, gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club. The protesters rejected the charges against Imran Khan and his spouse as baseless. The participants said that Bushra Bibi was innocent and that the cases against her were unfounded.

Addressing the crowd, Muslim Taj Bibi condemned the allegations, asserting that Bushra Bibi’s arrest was politically motivated. She called for her immediate release, warning that if the demands were not met, the scope of the protest would be expanded further.

The protest is seen as a reflection of growing political tensions and a clear message from PTI supporters, urging for justice and the restoration of their leaders’ freedom. The party’s stance on Bushra Bibi’s case continues to spark significant discussions within political circles across the country.
