Sinister designs

This letter refers to the news reports ‘Trump floats plan to ‘clean out’ Gaza, move Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan’ (January 26, 2025), ‘US says continuation of Gaza ceasefire’s implementation ‘critical’ (January 26, 2025), ‘Trump suggests US releasing 2,000-pound bombs to Israel’ (January 26, 2025). US President Donald Trump’s hint that the move of Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan could be long-term betrays his sinister designs.

Also, Trump’s limiting of the ceasefire only to Gaza seems basically intended to enable the return of all the Israeli hostages while leaving Israel free to do whatever it wants in the remaining illegally-occupied territories. Demanding a partial ceasefire only, along with the US plan to resume the supply of 2,000 pound bombs to Israel, probably means that it wants Israel to do in the West Bank and other illegally-occupied territories what it has already done in Gaza.
