One cannot disagree with the editorial ‘A note of disgust’ (June 12). It is very disturbing and sad to see that our parliamentarians – from the religious maulanas to liberals – are so morally degenerated. We are blessed with parliamentarians who have the audacity to give themselves a 300 percent raise in emoluments and perks.
The chairman of the Senate should reprimand Hafiz Hamdullah in the Senate for his obnoxious behaviour. If this is democracy we are better off without it.
