15 cops awarded Gallantry Medals
LAHORE : A ceremony to honour police officers and personnel for their extraordinary bravery against terrorists and dangerous criminals was held at the Central Police Office.
IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar awarded IGP Gallantry Medals to 15 courageous officers and personnel from various districts. Over the past 18 months, 38 officers and personnel have been honoured with Gallantry Medals for their fearless service.
"We deeply admire the bravery of these heroes who risk their lives in the line of duty. The courage of our officers at inter-provincial checkposts and in the face of gunfire in kacha areas is our greatest strength," said IGP Anwar.
The names of these valiant officers will be engraved on the "Brave Hearts" wall at the Central Police Office as a tribute to their courage. The recipients included officers from Sargodha, Rajanpur, Kasur, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, CTD Lahore, and Rawalpindi, as well as Elite Police and personnel from Nankana Sahib, DG Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Okara, and PC Farooqabad. Senior officers, including DIG Headquarters Zeeshan Asghar and AIG Discipline Amara Athar, also attended the ceremony.
