RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed six Khwarij who were trying infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in district Zhob, Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday said.
On the night of January 22 and 23, movement of a group of Khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces in general area of Sambaza, Zhob District.
Troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. Resultantly, six Khwarij were sent to hell. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered.
Pakistan has consistently been asking the Interim Afghan government to ensure effective management on their side of the border, the ISPR said.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday paid tribute to the security forces for foiling an infiltration attempt on the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob district.
