ISLAMABAD: Minister for Energy Awais Leghari Thursday said the solarisation of 27,000 tubewells in Balochistan was being pursued aggressively, while over 3,000 tubewells had been solarized so far.
He said this while replying to the supplementary questions during the Question Hour of 12th session of the National Assembly.
Leghari said the performance of Sukkur Electric Supply Company (Sepco) was poor and the company had to face Rs16 billion additional loss due to mismanagement during the last five months of the previous year. He suggested revamping Sepco as the only solution to address the uninterrupted supply of electricity, which would be carried out with the consultation of coalition government partners and stakeholders.
